The Importance of the “How-To” in Achieving Success

In a previous video, I talked about the “wow effect” people experience when they attend seminars or training sessions. However, what’s often missing is the “how-to” aspect. This can be disappointing and can lead to not being able to fully implement what was learned.

Today, I want to share a few tips on the “how-to” aspect. I learned these tips from a friend and coach named Yolanda. We discussed the importance of keeping the promises we make to ourselves. Often, we work hard to fulfill the promises we make to others, but we don’t take the promises we make to ourselves seriously.

This is where taking your personal promises seriously comes into play. It’s about holding yourself accountable for what you promised yourself you would do. This principle is here to remind us to take our promises to ourselves seriously.

It’s important to understand that just because you are doing certain things that are deemed necessary for success, it doesn’t guarantee success. However, consistently doing these things will increase your odds of success. Training hard, like top athletes do, doesn’t guarantee victory, but it increases the chances of success.

In life, personal development should not be seen as a short sprint, but as a way of life you are creating. To become personally effective, you need to think about what you need to do, what you need to learn, what skills you need to gather, what habits you need to drop, etc. to become the person you want to be, and you need to speak it to yourself consistently and affirm it into being.

Affirmations are a form of self-talk and are a way of creating a picture of the future you want. Many times, people make New Year’s resolutions but never follow through. To make affirmations work for you, make sure to revisit them regularly and hold yourself accountable for keeping your promises to yourself.

The 555 Process: A Guide to Achieving Your Dreams

We all have aspirations and dreams that we want to turn into reality. However, the journey from where we are to where we want to be can be challenging. But with the right tools, you can make that journey a lot smoother. The 555 Process is one such tool that can help you manifest your dreams and live the life you want.

Here are the five steps of the 555 Process:

  • Know what you want: Be specific about what you want to manifest. Be clear in your mind about what you want to achieve.
  • Create an affirmation of gratitude in the present: Write an affirmation that expresses gratitude for what you already have in your life, as if it has already happened. For example, “I am grateful that all my children still come back home to visit and we are at peace.”
  • Write your affirmation 55 times using blue ink: Writing your affirmation repeatedly reinforces it in your mind and helps to build positive energy around it. Blue ink is used because it is believed to have a calming and soothing effect on the mind.
  • Continue writing your affirmation for five days in a row: Consistency is key when it comes to manifestation. Writing your affirmation for five days straight will help embed it in your subconscious mind and make it more powerful.
  • Trust the process and surrender to the outcome: The final step is to let go of the outcome and trust the universe to bring your manifestation to fruition. Do not get attached to the end result, but rather focus on the process of manifestation.
